Liverpool continue to be linked with a host of players, as Jurgen Klopp takes a view on whether to strengthen his squad when the transfer window opens.

As fresh rumours about the potential new Anfield arrivals continue to surface, we have taken a look at the latest pieces of gossip to see what they could mean for the Reds.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool will need to fork out £35m to sign White from Brighton this summer.

The 22-year-old is currently on loan with Championship promotion hopefuls Leeds United, and has been tipped to secure a big-money move this summer.

The report adds that Brighton will demand a fee which would mark a significant profit on the player who has made just two first-team appearances for the club.

White is not the only centre-back to be linked with a move to Anfield, along with Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Reds are blessed with a host of options at the heart of the defence, with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren vying for starting spots.

White certainly has the potential to go far in the game, but a move to Merseyside may not be the right move in his career.

Unless there were to be a surprising Reds departure, then this is a rumour we can ignore for the time being.

According to Sky Germany, Liverpool are set to miss out on signing the South Korea international, with a Bundesliga club looking to sign up.

The report adds that RB Leizpig, who are getting ready to lose Timo Werner to Chelsea, are ready to sign Hwang for around 10m euros.

Liverpool have been tentatively linked with a move for the 24-year-old, as have Premier League rivals Wolves.

There has been plenty of talk that Liverpool need to strengthen their forward options to provide back-ups to Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Werner was heavily linked with a move to Anfield, before the Reds opted not to sign the German which allowed Chelsea to move in to sign the striker.

Any forward who were to move to Anfield would have to settle for a role on the bench for the majority of the season.

It was always unlikely that a big-money for such a player would happen this summer given the financial challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Sky Sports, the Reds are not showing an interest in signing the Senegalese international this summer.

The report states that the Reds’ strict transfer policy would prevent them from spending more than £60m on a 29-year-old.

It has also been claimed that Liverpool could sign a centre-back, should Dejan Lovren leave the club when the transfer window reopens.

The need for a new centre-back at Anfield should not be at the forefront of Klopp’s mind at the moment, but could be an area to look at.

The recent injury to Joel Matip means Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren are the only first-team options available for the remainder of the season.

Despite the injuries, Klopp would likely give the young players like Ki-Jana Hoever and Sepp van den Berg an opportunity rather than spend big in the market.
