When St. Patrick’s Day falls on a weekday, it’s like the luck of the Irish is with everyone because the parties stretch for days. Charlestonians know how to celebrate the holiday, and 2026 offers special food, drink and activities to raise a glass to the emerald isle. Sláinte! Here’s a look at what’s ahead, in no particular order:
Edmund’s Oast Brewing Co.
Edmund’s Oast Brewing Co. will have a family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day party March 14 with $5 beers all day (including green beer) and live music from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Face painting and balloon art will be offered from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m, and Journey Home Rescue Alliance will be there with adoptable puppies.

Snafu Brewing Company
For St. Patrick’s Day, Snafu Brewing Company will offer a FuRock mint shake and Chucky Larms (Lucky Charms–inspired) sours.

The Ansonborough
The Ansonborough will serve a special Celtic Clover Martini made with vodka, white crème de cacao, espresso and a touch of matcha for the shamrock spirit.

Frothy Beard Brewing Company
Frothy Beard Brewing Company is hosting an anniversary party with live bands on March 13 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 3 p.m.

Firefly Distilling
Firefly is hosting the Shamrock Shakedown bartender competition on March 14 that will feature Bend and Steal American whiskey. Bartenders from the distillery will go head-to-head in a battle for best cocktail, each creating a signature drink you can sample and vote on. For $15, you’ll receive tastings of all competing cocktails and the chance to cast your vote for your favorite. Live music keeps the party going all afternoon with Derek Cribb from noon to 3 p.m. and Brandon Simmons from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pizza Da Michellino will be on-site from noon to 4 p.m. serving up fresh pies to pair with your whiskey cocktails.

Low Tide Brewing
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend with a pint of Shamrockin’ Shenanigans, the brewery’s green beer with gold glitter. The fun starts at noon on March 14 and continues through March 17. Not a fan of green glitter beer? Have a pint of Tura’Lu Irish red or Irish stout Flogging Folly. Irish Coffee Slushies will also be back this year.
More fun: On March 15, Low Tide will have the Uibh Fhaili Academy of Irish Dance performing at 2 p.m. Food trucks will also be on-site throughout the celebrations; Braised and Glazed on March 14 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Drunk Tony’s on March 15 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Chicken Fats on March 16 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (along with Bingo at 6:30pm) and Luther’s on March 17 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with cornhole at 6:30 p.m.

North Charleston’s St. Patrick’s Day block party and parade
Join the biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the Lowcountry from noon to 5 p.m. in North Charleston’s old village. Fun for the entire family can be had at the block party on East Montague Avenue between Virginia Avenue and Jenkins Avenue, including portions of O’Hear, Chateau and Colie Morse avenues.
The celebration will feature live music across multiple stages, street vending featuring delicious fare from Park Circle restaurants and additional specialty food vendors. There will be a kid’s zone on O’Hear Avenue near Commonhouse Aleworks with inflatable slides, jump castles and face-painting. Stems and Skins will be offering green tea shots.
Live music lineup for the party includes: Justin Wideman from noon to 3 p.m. and Rob Corbett from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the Madra Rua Irish Pub patio stage; a live DJ on the DIG in the Park outdoor double decker bar; Max Besta with the Ectomorphs from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m, JP and the Moonshine Boys from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., Pop/Rock/Cult from 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. and Mr. Fahrenheit (Queen tribute) from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the EVO Pizzeria street stage; Joe Sanguedolce from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and David Higgins from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Commonhouse Aleworks.
The block party kicks off with a noon parade starting at Park Place East (adjacent to East Montague Avenue). The route will proceed down East Montague Avenue through the block party location to Virginia Avenue.
New Realm Brewing
New Realm Brewing will kick off St. Patrick’s Day celebrations 6 p.m. March 13 with live music, festive drinks and Irish cheer at the Shamrocks and Shenanigans kickoff party. At noon March 14, there will be a full-blown St. Patrick’s Day celebration filled with live music, festive food and drinks and fun for all ages. Celebrate with Southern Brogue Irish Stout on tap, along with festive favorites like Irish dropshots and other specialty shots and seasonal beverages.
Food specials available throughout the event include Bangers and Mash (two brats with creamy mashed potatoes, caramelized onion gravy, sweet green peas and parsley), fried potato pierogies (stout-caramelized onions, bacon lardons, sour cream and scallions and bacon and beer-braised cabbage. Live music includes ceremonial pipes at noon, a live DJ from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and music by Better On Wine from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A leprechaun’s gold scavenger hunt begins at 3 p.m. and runs until the last goodie is found, there will be a bounce house from noon – 6 p.m., a face painter from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and a leprechaun costume contest at 5:30 p.m.
New Realm Brewing is at 880 Island Park Dr. on Daniel Island.
Prohibition
Prohibition will transform its back bar into Prohibition’s Teeling Bar — an Irish pop-up bringing the heart of Ireland straight to King Street. Featuring specialty Irish cocktails crafted by Charleston’s beloved Irish bar director, Jim McCourt, alongside a lineup of Irish music and authentic Irish snacks. Prohibition’s annual Irish Night is on March 15, and the event will feature live Irish music, complimentary fish and chips made by Chefs Greg Garrison and Analisa LaPietra and in-house Guinness glass engraving.
On St. Patrick’s Day, Prohibition will open at 11 a.m. and the day will feature authentic Irish drink specials, and authentic Irish dishes, including fish and chips made with fresh, hand-battered fish and hand-cut fries.
