CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — An abandoned home in Charleston caught fire Wednesday morning, prompting an investigation.
Emergency crews were called to the 600 block of Georgia Street address about 8:30 a.m.
Firefighters on scene said no one was in the house when the fire started and crews were able to extinguish the flames within about 30 minutes.
Emergency personnel said multiple calls have referenced the address over the past few years and investigators have labeled the fire as suspicious.
The cause of the blaze was not immediately known.
