PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — The Providence Police Department said it was investigating a stabbing that occurred on Broad Street around 1 a.m. Sunday.
Police said a 27-year-old man suffered a stab wound to his upper torso.
The wound was the result of an “altercation” that happened in front of a home.

The man was transported to the hospital and police said he was in “stable condition.”
