Reeves Foundation 2025 grants to community groups exceed $1.5 million

DOVER – The Reeves Foundation awarded 56 local organizations a total of $1,530,845.83 in grants in 2025. Founded 53 years ago by businessman Sam Reeves Jr. with funding in part from his two sisters, the foundation continues the Reeves family commitment to give back to the community.

Some of the grants approved in 2025 include:

  • Tuscarawas County Agricultural Society, Dover: $135,021 for two skid loaders
  • Village of Mineral City: $50,000 for playground equipment
  • Tuscarawas Clinic for Working Uninsured, Dover: $1,428 for blood pressure/ diabetes management
  • East Central Ohio ESC, New Philadelphia: $5,000 for Family Reading Fest.
  • Village of Zoar: $66,315 for playground construction
  • Kent State Tuscarawas, New Philadelphia: $65,000 for audio/digital system for the Performing Arts Center
  • The Wilderness Center Wilmot: $8,060 for design and construction of trail

Local nonprofits that address the needs of the community are encouraged to contact the foundation at its Dover office for grant application information by visiting the website at https://reevesfound.org or by calling 330-364-4660. Requests of all sizes are considered for capital projects. All organizations must be 501(c)(3) certified. The foundation board meets bi-monthly to consider grant requests.
