SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – The Student of the Month program of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks recognizes young men and women for achievements in school and community life, hobbies, athletics, clubs, and community service. The Springfield Elks Lodge is pleased to recognize Caleb Young, a senior student at Springfield High School, as the Elks Student of the Month for January.

Caleb, the son of David and Ann Young, of Springfield, exemplifies what it means to be Student of the Month. He consistently works hard and is deeply curious, approaching his learning with genuine enthusiasm and a love of school that is evident every day. He combines strong academic interests, particularly his passion for engineering, with artistic talent, showing both analytical and creative thinking.

Beyond the classroom, he has completed more than 100 hours of community service, and demonstrates leadership and discipline through his active participation in the Civil Air Patrol, where he leads drills with confidence and responsibility.  He is an exemplary human being with a big heart, showing kindness, integrity, and a commitment to making a positive impact on others. Young will be graduating in June and is currently undecided about his postgraduation plans.

We are pleased to honor Young with the January Student of the Month award.
