South Carolina advanced by beating LSU in the semifinals behind 22 points from Raven Johnson. Texas was powered by 31 points from Madison Booker in its semifinal victory over Ole Miss.

The Gamecocks and Longhorns split regular season meetings, with each game decided by a single possession. Texas won a non-conference clash in Las Vegas by two points, while South Carolina took a three-point victory at home in Columbia.

Staley has had Schaefer’s number in the postseason though, as she’s 8-0 all-time against him in March and April. That record includes wins for the Gamecocks over the Longhorns in the SEC title game and Final Four last year.

Iowa at Nebraska odds, picks and predictions

by Diego Ramírez – Managing Editor marzo 8, 2026
written by Diego Ramírez – Managing Editor

Updated March 8, 2026, 1:47 a.m. CT

The Iowa Hawkeyes (20-10, 10-9 Big Ten) and the No. 9 Nebraska Cornhuskers (25-5, 14-5) meet Sunday at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. ET (FOX). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NCAA basketball odds around the Iowa vs. Nebraska odds and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions for the best bets.

Iowa has lost its last 2 games by a combined 5 points, most recently falling 71-68 to the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines. The Hawkeyes still covered as 9.5-point home underdogs while the Under (146.5) cashed. Iowa’s defense forced 18 turnovers, but struggled from deep, shooting just 7-of-26 from 3-point range. G Bennett Stirtz led the Hawkeyes with 21 points, while F Cam Manyawu added 14 as the only other player in double figures.

Nebraska had its 3-game win streak snapped Tuesday, falling 72-52 to the UCLA Bruins. The Cornhuskers failed to cover as 1.5-point road favorites while the Under (144.5) cashed. G Sam Hoiberg led Nebraska with 12 points, while F Rienk Mast and G Cale Jacobsen scored 11 each. Nebraska entered the game averaging 11.2 made 3-pointers per game, but UCLA’s defense held the Huskers to just 5-of-24 from beyond the arc.

The Hawkeyes have won the last 4 meetings with the Cornhuskers, including a 57-52 win Feb. 17 as a 1.5-point home favorite with the Under (139.5) cashing.

Iowa at Nebraska picks and predictions

Prediction

Nebraska 73, Iowa 64

PASS.

I believe the Cornhuskers (-275) end their regular season with a home victory on Senior day in Lincoln.

BET NEBRASKA -6.5 (-118).

Nebraska looks like a solid bounce-back spot against Iowa. The Cornhuskers are coming off a tough loss to UCLA, but had won 3 of their previous 4 games, scoring at least 74 points in each of those wins. Defense is where Nebraska really separates itself. The Cornhuskers rank first in defensive efficiency in the Big Ten, forcing turnovers, rebounding well and holding opponents to just 29% shooting from 3-point range.

Iowa, meanwhile, has struggled offensively for a while now. The Hawkeyes haven’t shot better than 32.1% from deep in their last 8 games and haven’t scored more than 76 points since early February. Over the last month, Iowa is shooting just 27.8% from 3 while allowing 50% overall shooting and 42% from beyond the arc on defense.

Nebraska also has a balanced offense, shooting 37% from 3, 56.2% from 2 and 78% from the free-throw line. If this game turns into a scoring battle, Iowa hasn’t shown the offense lately to keep up.

BET UNDER 134.5 (-110).

I lean toward the Over in this matchup. Even though the first meeting this season stayed Under, the previous 7 of the 9 matchups between Iowa and Nebraska went Over the total. The trends are a bit mixed lately, which is why it’s more of a lean. Iowa is 5-5 against the total in its last 10 games, while Nebraska is 4-4 in its last 8. Nebraska’s defense can limit Iowa’s outside shooting, but the Cornhuskers should still be able to score consistently against the Hawkeyes’ defense, giving this game a good chance to creep Over the number.

What seed is Missouri basketball in latest March Madness projections?

by Diego Ramírez – Managing Editor marzo 3, 2026
written by Diego Ramírez – Managing Editor

Updated March 3, 2026, 12:35 p.m. CT

Mizzou got hot at just the right time, and now all of the major national projections have the Tigers in the March Madness field.

The question now is more or less what seed Missouri basketball will be when the NCAA Tournament field is announced. After wins over then-No. 22 Tennessee and Mississippi State last week, the Tigers (20-9, 10-6 SEC) are looking good for a Selection Sunday shoutout.

Mizzou will face Oklahoma on Tuesday night on the road, before rounding out the regular season with Arkansas on Saturday at Mizzou Arena. With back-to-back wins, the Tigers guarantee a 3-seed and double-bye in the SEC Tournament.

More: Here’s how Missouri basketball can secure double-bye at SEC Tournament
More: Missouri basketball has unlocked 7-foot-5 center Trent Burns. That’s dangerous
Need a news break? Check out the all new PLAY hub with puzzles, games and more!

Here’s what Missouri’s current tournament résumé looks like, and a glimpse at where the experts currently have the Tigers seeded and tabbed to travel for March Madness. All of the outlets’ projections were updated on the morning of Tuesday, March 3:

Current Missouri basketball NCAA Tournament résumé for 2026 March Madness

Missouri’s NET ranking: No. 53

Quad 1 record: 5-6

Quad 2 record: 5-3

Quad 3 record: 2-0

Quad 4 record: 8-0

Missouri has moved up five spots in the NET rankings and is now No. 53 nationally after its win over Mississippi State.

The quadrant system accounts for the location of the game and the opposing team’s NET ranking. Quad 1 games, for instance, are at home against teams ranked Nos. 1-30 in the NET, on a neutral court against teams ranked Nos. 1-50, and on the road against teams ranked Nos. 1-75.

Both of Mizzou’s remaining games are Quad 1 matchups. Oklahoma, which MU faces Tuesday night on the road, is ranked No. 62 in the NET, and Arkansas is No. 19.

ESPN: Missouri basketball a 9-seed vs Clemson in San Diego

ESPN has moved Missouri up another seed line between games, now projecting that the Tigers will be on the 9-line in the Big Dance. In Joe Lunardi’s most-recent bracket, Mizzou faces an 8-seeded Clemson in San Diego, California.

The other two teams in the bracket are 1-seed Arizona and 16-seed Tennessee State. The team that advances from this part of the bracket would go to San Jose, California, to play in the Sweet 16.

CBS Sports: Ben McCollum rematch for Missouri basketball

Him again?

CBS Sports also has Mizzou as a 9-seed in its latest bracket projections, but the outlet has the Tigers taking on 8-seeded Iowa in the Round of 64. Iowa is coached by Ben McCollum, who led Drake to a first-round win over Missouri last season before being hired by the Hawkeyes.

No. 1 Duke would be the likely team waiting for the winner in this projection. That’s hardly the friendliest draw, all things considered.

USA Today: Tigers a 10-seed in OKC

After spending a couple weeks on the outside looking in, Mizzou has moved into the field in USA Today’s newest bracket projection. As of Tuesday morning, the Tigers are listed as a 10-seed, with a trip to Oklahoma City on deck to face 7-seeded Saint Mary’s in the Round of 64.

In this forecast, the winner likely would next see a 2-seeded Iowa State.

Bart Torvik: Best at-large chance to date

We mentioned over the weekend that Mizzou had almost certainly booked its spot in the field with its dominant win over Mississippi State, which marked a 20th win on the year and 10th win in SEC play.

The analytics site Bart Torvik is backing that up.

Torvik currently gives Mizzou a 95.9% chance to make the NCAA Tournament as of Feb. 27, which is based on 10,000 simulations run through its T-Ranketology ‘TourneyCast’ projections. That’s the best outlook yet this season for Missouri.

The odds are up from 78.1% this past Friday, before the Tigers’ win at Mississippi State, which sealed a sixth win in eight games for Dennis Gates’ team.

If we stretch Torvik’s simulations out into a bracket, that makes Mizzou a 9-seed.

Mark Stoops a Texas: Exentrenador de Kentucky será asistente especial

by Editor de Deportes marzo 3, 2026
written by Editor de Deportes

North Dakota tops the NCAA men’s hockey power rankings

by Diego Ramírez – Managing Editor marzo 2, 2026
written by Diego Ramírez – Managing Editor

March 2, 2026, 6:07 a.m. ET

We are ever so close to the post-season in college hockey. In fact, a number of teams have already claimed conference regular-season titles, including a couple of first-timers in Bentley of Atlantic Hockey and, surprisingly, Providence College in Hockey East. The Friars have a national championship to their name when they took it all in 2015, but this is their first time finishing atop the standings in the conference.

Meanwhile, Minnesota State took care of business in the CCHA, with the Mavs winning their eighth MacNaughton Cup in the past nine seasons. The CCHA was so tight this season that it all literally came down to the end, so this is going to be quite the conference tournament to keep an eye on. No doubt there are going to be some teams who fell just short who will have revenge on their minds in the bracket.

Speaking of revenge, a number of underdogs made noise this past weekend, shaking up our power rankings.

1. North Dakota Fighting Hawks (25-8-1)

We have a new No. 1 and they ain’t from the state of Michigan. The Fighting Hawks split with a very good Western Michigan squad on the weekend and there’s no shame in that. North Dakota won the Penrose Cup in the process and gets Omaha in the first round of the NCHC tournament for its troubles.

In a typical year, splitting with Minnesota would be an accomplishment, but the Gophers have been down bad this season so it’s a bit of a stain on the Wolverines. With only an exhibition game against Canadian university Simon Fraser on the schedule, at least Michigan can regroup before the Big Ten tournament.

3. Michigan State Spartans (24-7-1)

Like the rival Wolverines, the Spartans got caught in a trap series on the weekend. For them, it was Ohio State, with the Buckeyes winning one and forcing MSU to a shootout, which the Spartans luckily took after a marathon. Defenseman Colin Ralph (STL) played the unlikely hero for Michigan State.

4. Western Michigan Broncos (24-9-1)

Splitting with North Dakota bumps the Broncs up in the rankings and the defending national champs have played well down the stretch. In a tough conference, they dropped just two games in February. Western Michigan faces a dangerous Colorado College in the first round of the NCHC tournament.

5. Denver Pioneers (21-11-3)

Another team with legitimate title aspirations, the Pioneers are unbeaten in nine straight heading into the NCHC tournament, where they draw Miami in the opening round. Denver drubbed the Redhawks in December, so let’s see if they can keep the party going when the stakes are higher.

6. Providence College Friars (22-9-2)

The regular-season crown is nice, but you know the Friars won’t be satisfied stopping there. Splitting with New Hampshire was a little curious, but these things happen. Late roster addition Michael Simpson has given the Friars two quality starts in net so far; it will be interesting to see how they proceed.

7. Cornell Big Red (20-8-1)

With a pair of cross-state victories over St. Lawrence and Clarkson over the weekend, Cornell leaps over ECAC mates Quinnipiac. Defenseman George Fegaras (DAL) is on a four-game point streak and is second in team blueline scoring behind offensive D-man Xavier Veilleux (NYI).

8. Quinnipiac Bobcats (26-7-3)

The Bobcats got blasted by Dartmouth on Friday before rebounding against Harvard the next day. That makes Quinnipiac 2-2 in their past four, which is either a sign of things to come or just more motivation for them to stomp through the ECAC. Ethan Wyttenbach (CGY) has six points in his past three games.

Most folks expected Penn State to crush Notre Dame on the weekend, but the Nittany Lions barely escaped South Bend. That inconsistency continues to be troubling for the group, but at least they have one more test against Wisconsin before the Big Ten tournament begins.

10. Dartmouth Big Green (19-7-4)

If you hang seven goals on Quinnipiac, you deserve a spot in the power rankings. But the Big Green have been vexing all season: Are they a legit contender? Can they beat top teams? Blitzing the Bobcats was a good sign. Hank Cleaves has 35 points in 30 games and will be a free agent with NHL suitors after the season.

Gators arrasan a Arkansas 111-77 y lideran la SEC

by Editor de Deportes marzo 1, 2026
written by Editor de Deportes

by Editor de Deportes marzo 1, 2026
written by Editor de Deportes

by Editor de Deportes febrero 28, 2026
written by Editor de Deportes

Actualizado el 28 de febrero de 2026, a las 10:34 a. M. ET

Zach Osterman, IndyStar: Indiana 71-67

Michael Niziolek, Herald-Times: Michigan State 77-68
