Jessie Buckley: Histórica victoria en los Oscars por «Hamnet»

La actriz irlandesa Jessie Buckley ha hecho historia en la 98ª edición de los Premios de la Academia, llevándose el Oscar a la Mejor Actriz por su interpretación en «Hamnet». Buckley, de 36 años, superó a una fuerte competencia que incluía a nominadas como Emma Stone y Kate Hudson.

Con este galardón, Buckley se convierte en la primera actriz irlandesa en ganar un Oscar en esta categoría. Su aclamada actuación en «Hamnet», una adaptación de la novela de Maggie O’Farrell dirigida por Chloé Zhao, la ha consagrado como una de las figuras más destacadas del cine actual.

Durante su discurso de aceptación, Buckley agradeció a las “increíbles mujeres” que la rodean, inspirándose en su arte y corazón, y expresando su deseo de colaborar con cada una de ellas.
