Equestrian Finishes as Reserve High Point Team for Second-Straight Week

TIVERTON, R.I. – The Brown equestrian team co-hosted a show with Johnson and Wales University on Saturday (March 14) and was the reserve high point team for the second-straight week. The show also included Salve Regina, Rhode Island College, Assumption, Holy Cross, Yale, and the Coast Guard Academy.

Freshman Micaela Winthrop won the intermediate fences and placed third in the limit flat. Freshman Isabella Cope placed second in the limit flat and third in the intermediate fences.

Freshman Elle Graham was the winner of the intermediate flat section A and sophomore Lana Khalidi was the winner of the limit fences section B. Sophomore Sofia Ene also competed in limit fences section B and placed third.

Brown was across the podium in the introductory flat. Freshman Angela Jin placed first, junior Diqiu Liu placed second, and sophomore Lanyi Stroud placed third.

Sophomore Emmanuelle Bal won the pre-novice flat and senior Lauren Zhou won the novice flat.

The Bears will return to action next Sunday, March 22, at the University of Rhode Island Regionals in Ashaway, R.I.
