Google Gemini AI Notetaker ahora funciona en reuniones presenciales, Zoom y Microsoft Teams, no solo en Google Meet

Google’s Gemini AI notetaker now supports in-person meetings, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams—not just Google Meet, according to The Verge. The feature allows users to generate AI-powered summaries and transcripts from meetings held in person or on other platforms, with results saved as Google Docs in Google Drive. Support for in-person meetings was previously limited to alpha users on Android but is now broadly available. Users can activate the tool from the Google Meet homescreen on mobile or desktop by selecting «take notes for me,» regardless of the meeting’s format or platform. Gemini will then create a summary and «action items» from the discussion. The tool as well works for impromptu meetings, requiring no prior scheduling or dedicated meeting room. Google Meet’s Gemini-powered note-taking feature now automatically generates checklists of suggested next steps, including due dates and assigned stakeholders, for Workspace teams. This action items feature began rolling out on February 18, 2025, at a slower pace to monitor performance and quality. The voice-to-text transcription accurately separates speakers and produces a coherent summary in a Google Doc, which is shared with participants after the meeting ends. Even as not perfect, the system has avoided totally disastrous results in testing. Users concerned about sensitive information exposure to large language models may still find the tool helpful for note-taking. The update expands access beyond Google Meet to include Zoom and Microsoft Teams, with Gemini powering the transcription and summarization across all supported platforms.
