Lady Toppers Finish in 14th at Valspar Augusta Intercollegiate

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The WKU women’s golf team concluded the final day of the Valspar Augusta Intercollegiate on Sunday, posting a 22-over score (310) for the final round for a 14th place finish with a 920 total score (+56) for the tournament.   
 
NOTABLES

• Sydney Hackett led the Lady Toppers with a team-best 74 (+2) in the third round. Her final score of 224 (+8) put her in a tie for 35th place.
• Leah Edwards carded a 78 (+6) in the final round to bring her total score to 229 (+13) for the tournament to finish in a tie for 51st place.
• Averi Cline posted a 79 in the third round, bringing her total for the tournament to 234 (+18). She tied for 68th place.
• Julia Zigrossi shot an 81 in the third round and Grace Frei posted a 79 (+7). Zigrossi and Frei tied for 75th place in the field with a total score of 236 (+20).

«This wasn’t our best showing,» said head coach Adam Gary. «It was nice to be invited to such a good event. I’m glad we have spring break coming up to work on some things. We still have a lot of the season left and have to figure some things out.»
