Lansing ferry closed as wind gusts pose a safety issue

LANSING, Iowa (KCRG) – The ferry in Lansing is closed Friday morning and high wind gusts continue.

A post on the Mississippi River Bridge page said the ferry cannot safety operate with the strong winds. The ferry transports vehicles and pedestrians across the Mississippi River into Wisconsin.

The ferry is typically open starting at 5:45 AM.
