A Frankfort man is accused of head-butting a female during an assault on West Second Street early Thursday.
Frankfort Police responded to a domestic dispute at 1:40 a.m. when the victim stated her husband came in through a window following an argument earlier in the day.
“She pointed to the man standing behind the officers in the hallway, and he stated, ‘It was me.’ At that time, Jeffrey Baughn was detained,” his arrest citation reads.
According to the female victim, Baughn poked her in the stomach with a knife, then grabbed both her arms to prevent her from leaving, and head-butted her in the face, causing her lip to bleed.
Baughn reportedly admitted to drinking alcohol and also complained of heart problems. He was transported to Frankfort Regional Medical Center for medical clearance. At the hospital, Baughn allegedly yelled and caused a disturbance for approximately 50 minutes despite being warned that he would incur more charges. However, he refused to comply, his arrest report states.
He is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, a Class D felony; second-degree unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence with minor injury), both Class A misdemeanors; second-degree disorderly conduct, a Class B misdemeanor; and alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offenses, a violation.
Baughn is lodged in the Franklin County Regional Jail on a $10,000 full-cash bond.
