SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Sioux Falls Public Works Street Division has determined that no snow alert will be issued following Sunday’s blizzard.
Crews from the Street Division surveyed city streets on Sunday afternoon and determined that a snow alert will not be issued. However, plows will be used to clear drifting snow from residential streets. Streets will also be treated with salt to reduce icing.
Because there will be no snow alert, vehicles parked on the street will not be ticketed or towed. The City of Sioux Falls encourages residents to move vehicles parked on public streets, if possible, during the next 24 hours.
Plows will also continue clearing emergency snow routes, secondary routes, and areas around schools.
