Officials have given the all-clear after the Wilmington International Airport (ILM) was evacuated Thursday due to a bomb threat, WECT reports.
New Hanover County Sheriff’s deputies said their bomb squad responded to the airport after receiving a report of the threat.
Airport officials said they were made aware of the threat at 8:50 p.m.
New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad completed their sweep and determined the terminal is safe for operations.
Officials said the airport was evacuated out of an abundance of caution and to ensure everyone’s safety.
