PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A motorcyclist died after a crash with another vehicle Saturday afternoon at a busy Southeast Portland intersection.
Officers from the Central Precinct responded at 2:09 p.m. Saturday, March 21 to reports of a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle at Southeast Powell Boulevard and Southeast 28th Avenue. Paramedics took the motorcycle rider to a hospital, where the rider later died.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene.
Police did not confirm the type of car involved in the crash and did not identify either driver for the time being.

The Major Crash Team is investigating. During the investigation, Southeast Powell Boulevard will be closed between Southeast 26th Avenue and Southeast 29th Avenue.
