Las autoridades de Singapur (SFA y CDA) informaron que, desde su última actualización del 30 de enero, no se han registrado nuevos casos de personas que hayan desarrollado síntomas leves posiblemente asociados con la exposición a la cereulida tras el consumo de los productos afectados. En el momento de la actualización, se habían reportado tres casos, todos ellos recuperados.
Las autoridades indicaron que “actualmente no existen pruebas de laboratorio clínicas definitivas disponibles para confirmar el envenenamiento por cereulida”.
La Agencia de Enfermedades Infecciosas está colaborando estrechamente con la SFA y realizando un seguimiento con los médicos para monitorear posibles casos de envenenamiento por cereulida en niños.
Se aconseja a quienes hayan adquirido los productos afectados que no los administren a sus hijos y, en caso de que sus hijos los hayan consumido y presenten malestar, que busquen atención médica de inmediato. Las autoridades también informaron que los consumidores pueden contactar al punto de venta para realizar consultas sobre los productos.
Los lotes implicados de leche de fórmula infantil importada representan aproximadamente el 5% del suministro importado de Singapur y constituyen una “minoría” de los productos de leche de fórmula infantil disponibles en el país, según las autoridades.
En cuanto a los lotes de leche de fórmula para niños mayores de un año, las autoridades precisaron que representan una porción insignificante del suministro total del mercado, con alternativas disponibles.

SFA and CDA added that there had been no new cases of individuals who have developed mild symptoms likely associated with cereulide exposure after consuming the affected products since their last update on such cases on Jan 30. They reported three cases at the time, with all three having recovered.
“Currently, there are no definitive clinical laboratory tests available to confirm cereulide poisoning,” said the authorities.
“The Communicable Diseases Agency is working closely with SFA and is conducting surveillance with medical practitioners to monitor for potential cases of cereulide poisoning in children.”
Those who have bought the affected products should not feed them to their children, and those whose children have consumed these products and are unwell should seek medical advice promptly, said SFA and CDA. They added that consumers may contact their point of purchase for product enquiries.
The implicated batches of imported infant formula milk products account for about 5 per cent of Singapore’s imported supply and are a “minority” of overall infant formula milk products available in the country, said the authorities.
“For the implicated batches of formula milk product meant for children above one year old, they represent a negligible portion of the overall market supply, with alternative options readily available,” they added.
