(WGXA) — Elijah Blue Allman, the son of legendary artists Cher and Macon’s own Gregg Allman, was arrested for burglary and criminal trespass in New Hampshire on Sunday.
Windham Police Department Chief Bryan Smith told WGXA that the officers responding to a call about a residential break-in found the 49-year-old man inside the home without permission.
Smith says Allman, who’s from Malibu, California, had forcibly entered the home, and he was arrested on charges of burglary, two counts of criminal mischief and breach of bail.

At his arraignment on Monday in the Salem District Court, a judge ordered that Allman be held in police custody on “preventative detention.”
Chief Smith told WGXA that the 49-year-old was also previously arrested in Concord, New Hampshire. WGXA has reached out to the Concord Police Department for details.
Allman is the son of an American singer and fashion icon, Cher, and the late founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, Gregg Allman, who died in 2017.
