One man was arrested during a narcotics investigation on Saturday.
The Jefferson City Police Department (JCPD) conducted a controlled drug purchase from the suspect, Bryan I. Thomas, 36.
The source, who cooperated with the police, arranged to meet up with Thomas and purchase 1 gram of Fentanyl in a Jefferson City parking lot.
A traffic stop on Thomas came shortly after the exchange, and he was arrested.
Officers found two cellphones, a digital scale and cash during a search of his vehicle, according to a press release.
The man disclosed to police after being taken into custody that he was previously incarcerated in a Federal prison for Conspiracy to Sell Drugs.
Thomas was charged with First-Degree Drug Trafficking – Over Statutory Amount.
He was booked into the Cole County Jail without bond.
