Beijing, April 17, 2026 – The China Open officially unveiled its long-term development strategy on Thursday, setting the clear goal of becoming a world-class tennis tournament. The announcement was made by Li Xuhua, General Manager of the China Open Company, who outlined the “Five Highs” strategic pathway to achieve this objective.

The first pillar focuses on high-level competition, aiming to continuously attract top-ranked male and female players by ensuring exciting matches. The second emphasizes high-quality service, using player feedback as a benchmark to steadily improve satisfaction with event operations.

The third pillar centres on high satisfaction experience, placing audience contentment at the forefront by enriching on-site leisure and entertainment activities. The fourth highlights high-tech empowerment, striving to establish a benchmark for tennis technology application in Asia and globally through innovation leadership.

The fifth and final pillar is high-value contribution, targeting sustained growth in economic and social benefits. This includes expanding media rights, membership systems, sports-culture-tourism integration and merchandise development, while promoting mass participation, youth training, and community engagement to position the China Open as Asia’s premier tennis event benchmark.

Li Xuhua also revealed that this year’s efforts will intensify in linking with surrounding businesses, deepening the tournament’s economic impact, and advancing urban socio-economic development, with related plans currently under careful preparation and set for imminent release.
