The Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin has made its first appearance at Indonesia’s ASTINDO Travel Fair from February 4 to 7. A delegation organized by the Economic Development Bureau of Hengqin visited Jakarta to promote the island as an emerging international tourism destination.
The delegation promoted “one trip, multiple destinations” travel products, allowing visitors to include Hengqin, Macao, and other cities in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macau Greater Bay Area within a single itinerary. Presentations to Indonesian travel agencies highlighted Hengqin’s location, improving tourism facilities, and China’s 240-hour transit visa-free policy.
Hengqin exhibited together with the Macao SAR Government Tourism Office at the ASTINDO Travel Fair, using digital displays and interactive activities to promote joint Hengqin-Macao itineraries to Indonesian consumers.
During the visit, the delegation also met with Indonesian companies and business organizations to explore cooperation in areas such as exhibitions, logistics, and cross-border trade.
