Augusta mayoral candidate Steven Kendrick has a new digital series looking at economic development in the city, first examining what happened with the demise of Regency Mall.
The series, “Let’s Get Real About Economic Development,” looks at some of the city’s most talked-about and least understood projects, according to a news release from Kendrick’s campaign.
The first installment begins at 7 p.m. on Monday and can be found on his campaign social media pages using KendrickforMayor26 on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn.
Regency Mall opened in 1978 on Gordon Highway and was plagued with problems until it closed in 2002. Listeners will hear from people involved with the project to learn more about how decisions were made, and can submit questions during the event.
