Alexis Sánchez habla sobre su futuro en el fútbol: México, MLS y el cambio generacional en La Roja

Alexis Sánchez, forward for La Roja and Inter Milan, referred to where he could continue his career once he leaves Italian football.

‘Maravilla’ was interviewed by Iván Zamorano for the Mexican network ESTUDIAR where he stated that he would like to try his luck in Mexican football.

“Yes, I would like to (play in Mexico). The other day I was talking to a friend and I don’t know, it caught my attention. There are passionate teams in Mexico, they support their club and all those things, I would like to, I don’t know when,” said the La Roja star.

Then, when asked which team he would like to play for, Sánchez said, “I don’t know. There are several that I know, Pachuca, América. I like América, for the fans, for how they are, for the capital, and for what Diego Valdés has also told me.”

The native of Tocopilla also hinted at the possibility of playing in the MLS in the United States, a league from which he has been approached by several teams.

“I would also like it, it’s another culture, another language that I would like to perfect. I would like to live in Los Angeles, Miami, I don’t know, I don’t have anything concrete now, I’m focused on the Champions League with Inter and doing the best possible,” insisted Alexis Sánchez.

To close, ‘Maravilla’ spoke about the present of La Roja facing the qualifying rounds and the 2024 Copa América in the United States.

“There has to be a generational change, the players have to dare to show what they know. I think there is great potential to grow and improve, and to bring out new players for the national team,” said the national forward.
